I'm happy with living here at the village . I enjoy my friends that I get to see for dinner . The dinner selections need to be rotated so we don't eat the same thing everyday. I love all the activities and all the people.

I came from Arizona to the village to be closer to my daughter.made really friends and realized they are many activities to keep me busy. We play Rummikub Majongg and attend art classes and exercise classes. I have a lot of fun reorganizing the movies making popcorn for out moving goers. I like to help staff when they need help.anf love working at the store .

I was referred to visit the community since I lived in a smaller community . The moment I entered I was amazed on how clean and lively it looked . People were welcoming and it it felt like residents who live there are happy and enjoy all the amenities.I now recently moved to Arizona were my son lives but it would of been a great place to live.

I started living here with my husband recuperating got better. we enjoyed our time together 2 and a half years. I now enjoyed continuing living here as I met new people and I enjoy the activities.

After looking around for a community that was pleasant and able to accommodate my parents. The Village seemed to hit it out the ballpark. The staff and the residents are wonderful! They treat all residents, family members and visitors with professionalism and respect. My parents felt at home from the moment they step foot inside. We knew right away this was going to be the right choice. The landscape is clean and beautiful just an amazing place for my folks. Thanks to the staff and business manager Mikhail who was vital in convincing me that this was the best place for my family. He is friendly and extremely knowledgeable as he helped with all my questions.

My family and I were interested in Memory Care for my grandma. We did a walk in and Samantha Camarillo helped us out. She was very helpful and answered all the questions we had. My grandma enjoyed her time in the memory care department and attended all the activities they had. Unfortunately my grandma passed away but she never felt alone during the time she was there. Very wonderful staff.

The village has been nothing short of amazing towards both of my grandparents. My grandparents got to a point in their age where they needed certain assistance, and The Village and it's memory care department were beyond excellent towards my grandparent's special attentive needs. Samantha Camarillo was such an understanding sweetheart when it came to finding what our family, as a whole needed for our grandparents to suit their living situations. Samantha gave our family a very thorough tour of the facility, grounds, and overall function of The Village and assured us everyone was in good hands. I extend my gratitude towards The Village, towards Samantha, and towards the Memory care staff in the effort of this review because not only were my grandparents treated beyond expectations, it's as if the help and care they received there rejuvenated them in many aspects. Now, with some time passed my family and I are fortunate to have our grandparents return home with us, but we will never forget what Samantha and the Memory Care department did for us in the meantime of all circumstances!

Although we have not decided on which community as of yet, I wanted to take a moment to write how impressed we were with Phillip Lecompte. He answered all our questions and made us feel like this could be home! He was extremely professional, warm, kind and gracious.

My family and I were considering a Senior Living community for our parents. A few weeks ago flew in from Florida and toured 3 places. We called last minute and Philip was accommodating enough to stay late and tour us. We loved how beautiful the community was and how personable and professional Philip was. My parents have decided to be in Florida with family but they definitely loved the feel of the community.

I highly recommend The Village at Sherman Oaks ~ it's really wonderful! I'm helping my friend find an assisted living community...and after looking at MANY, we were so delighted and relieved to find The Village! It checks all the boxes. The look and feel of it is open and airy ~ light filled with great energy. Very Southern California, which we love. It's surrounded by greenery from the outdoors...you can breathe!...and it all creates a joyful uplifting environment. And the energy of the place...it feels like Life is Being Lived Here. The residents are all very happy...each person we met said terrific things about their experience. And no matter where we were, on every floor, whenever we passed one of the staff at the Village, we were greeted with a huge smile and a 'Hi...Nice to see you! or 'How are you? ' The people who work there are all very friendly and happy themselves...making it so warm and welcoming. I especially want to give a huge shout out to PHILLIP LECOMPTE, chief of sales at The Village. His amazing and kind guidance, compassion, knowledge, sense of humor, and true caring really helped my friend and I to know what to do, how to go about this kind of transition, and he made the entire experience easy and joyful. No pressure...only support, guidance and true understanding. Making a transition like this can be stressful, and Phillip ensured that my friend's apartment at The Village at Sherman Oaks is everything that she wants and needs. I feel very good that she will be well taken care of, will be safe, and happy. (Oh, and the food in the restaurant is delicious! And it's all included.) I highly recommend Phillip and The Village at Sherman Oaks. The environment, the amenities, the staff and the residents...all add up to a most wonderful place...filled with light in so many ways. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Mr Phil LeConte graciously gave us a tour of the grounds and facilities. His presentation was warm, friendly and welcoming. As were the residents that we met. Even the general staff never hesitated to make us feel acknowledged and welcomed! The facility looked spotless, the suites were lovely and the grounds gorgeous to include a swimming pool, green house, theater…The list is nearly endless. Activities abound and everyone looked happy. The menu’s looked high end restaurant quality and diverse. This reminds me of a 5 star resort. Hopefully, this will soon be called home!

The Village at Sherman Oaks is a beautiful community. The care staff is amazing, and the nurses have been there for a very long time, which says a lot for an assisted living setting. They also have great food and the staff is very friendly.

My wife and I, visiting as a possible setting for her father and his girlfriend (both in their 90s) were impressed by everything we saw. The people, in particular, were warm, engaging, and caring. The facility is well-maintained and has an excellent array of activities and services for residents. The rooms were large and functional and the public areas bright and inviting. The food service was varied and appealing. It is the food service that is one area of concern. The plan is for two meals each day (breakfast and either lunch or dinner). While this works for people who enjoy breakfast, it is not as beneficial for those who sleep in and would prefer juice and coffee or toast and coffee. Given this, a person such as this (and this does pertain to my wife's father), is, in essence, only receiving one meal per day. This is not a deal-breaker, as The Village is very impressive, but a somewhat better plan might be to have the two meal option being any two meals.

There were several of us participating in this tour and we were treated beautifully. It was a wonderful afternoon. We really got to see all aspects The Village, Sherman Oaks, Tracey and Connie could not have been warmer and more helpful. The lunch was delicious and we were all very impressed. No roll in showers were a surprise and disappointment to me and the size of the two bedrooms was a bit disappoiting.

The facility at The Village at Sherman Oaks is clean, bright and beautiful as expected, but it is the staff and the residents there that makes it exceptional. Moving my mom across the country during a global pandemic was scary. Tracey and the rest of the staff helped smooth the transition...sending personal videos of the events and activities to us since we had limited access to visit due to covid; helping coordinate multiple deliveries of furniture and online orders so her unit would be ready for her arrival; and warmly welcoming her on the day and weeks following her arrival. The staff made sure she had new friends to eat with at meals and helped her integrate into the activities. Now she enjoys group walks every morning, movies in the afternoons and social gatherings in the courtyards, etc.

Absolutely beautiful grounds. Beautiful rooms. Incredibly nice staff. Fantastic food. I’m so happy my mom is here. She was nervous about coming to LA, where she didn’t know anyone. In just a few days at TVSO she’s made several new friends, is getting more exercise than ever. Has joined the bridge club, and is really loving this new adventure.

I am a person who is very careful of the food I eat. I only purchase grass fed dairy, certified humane eggs like Vital Farms and read all labels -- no GMO ingredients. I fear that while the quality of the food you serve is of good quality it is still 'institutional' with lots of chemical feasts and too mainstream than my liking. I asked if I provided the chef with the food I purchase -- which is not just cage free (which quite frankly means nothing since you can have a huge barn with thousands of hens crammed into it and still be called cage free), but that is free range -- if the chef would be willing to cook the par superior food I supply. I was told that outside food is not allowed in the kitchen. Bottom line is that I feel that community living is probably not for me.

Alison has always been very attentive to our family and our needs. Ever since our first visit, Alison has stayed in touch with us both by email and phone calls just to check in. She spent quite a bit of time with us on Saturday and wanted to me sure all of our questions were answered and made my mother feel so very important during our visit. The time she spent with us felt so personal and professional at the same. Alison is a great asset to your organization. I am hoping my mother will soon be a part of the 'family' feel of the Village/Sherman Oaks.
