Just finished a visit with my grandparents who are happily settled in here at Northwest place. Staff are friendly and helpful, overall such a welcoming environment for visitors and residents !

I cannot recommend NW Place highly enough: The Staff are wonderful, welcoming and most accommodating. My partner, son and I felt so at home, we attended lecture events, dined regularly in the restaurant for a very reasonable price, and our constant coming and going over our 12 day visit was not only tolerated but welcomed. We live in Australia, so it is comforting to know that my parents are in a stimulating, warm and welcoming environment, and have happily joined the North West place community.

My parents in law have fairly recently moved into North West Place and we (my partner and son) came from Australia to see how they’ve settled in. We were so happy to experience the wonderful warm environment they have landed in after the difficulty of packing up and leaving their long time home. Across the board the staff are amazing, the activities and opportunities for socialising are plentiful and the food is terrific. They have been welcomed into the community with open arms, as we were. We cannot recommend North West Place highly enough.

I would highly recommend NorthWest Place! My sister lived there a number of years so I was able to experience it first hand. The staff is well organized, pleasant and personable yet professional as well. The food is delicious and varied and accommodates all dietary concerns. There are a lot of activities and holiday events provided. Transportation needs are covered as well. It has a great location in a lovely neighborhood. The community or residents are welcoming, supportive, and interesting. I have visited other senior living residences in Portland and this is the best of all!

I found all the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable in answering questions. The food was very delicious and the facilities seemed very homey and welcoming. It seemed that the staff really know the residents and treat them as individuals, not just ‘numbers’.

Last week I had the chance to perform magic at Northwest Place. I’m a little different…I’m not a resident of a retirement community but regularly perform magic in retirement communities. I can tell when I walk into a high-quality community. Northwest Place is one of those. When I walk in from the outside, it’s obvious it’s well maintained, landscaped and secure. The moment I entered I was cheerfully greeted. When I was given a little tour, everything was high-quality, especially the dining room. The dining room looks like a five-star restaurant. When I spoke with the residents, they all spoke proudly of “their” chef. Good food matters. I could see myself living there someday!
