This was the first visit for my friend, Sandi. I wanted her to see the place another one of my friends selected. Martha was excellent in every respect. She was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. She was a very good listener. Our lunch meal was very nice. Sandi's only negative comment was that there were very few residents around, and of those she saw, few seemed very happy or joyous. To her, they were all just going about their lives without any sense of liveliness. Many were sitting alone. There were few activities going on at the time of our visit, and she was unable to talk to any of the current residents. I'm no psychologist, but I think her reaction was mostly projecting, as she is still coming to grips with the whole idea of selling her lovely home and moving to a facility. Like other first time visitors, I suspect, it was an emotional experience for her. She is still considering her options and her time-table, and she may want to look at other places. She may

the lack of memory care or locked area is a potential problem although we were told there were other sites with such services.

We told our first contact, Don, that we were just looking to see what is available in independent living should we want to give up living in our own home at sometime in the future. We are quite impressed with your community and feel it could meet our needs if we decide to leave our house and the responsibilities that come with home ownership.

I visited The Village ay NorthRidge in April 2019. This four-story building is for the elderly people starting at the age of 55. It has a history of 10 years. There are 275 (one or two bedrooms) rooms from which 84 rooms are designed for assisting living. The monthly rental fee includes: the room cleaning once a week, including bed(s); two meals a day (most tenants choose breakfast and dinner); water & power; a heated swim pool and spa access; Gym access; and cable TV., including daily activities. Pay $13.95 per person for lunch - see the lunch menu. I enjoyed a tasting soup and tender fish as well as a good taste coffee. Dinner starts at 5 p.m., including a complimentary cocktail per person. The rental is based on month by month. A two-month notification is required for ending the rental agreement. There are 102 full-time staff working in the facility that is the largest senior living facility in California.

The Village is a lovely facility. I am looking for a place for my sister. However, we are in limbo right now as she cannot make up her mind as to whether she wants to remain in the valley or move closer to her son and me or just stay in her own house. Plus she is having sticker shock. I enjoyed my visit very much and Stacey was very kind and helpful. If she decides to remain in the valley, The Village would be my first choice.

I may have gotten the name wrong. Please note also that I was more than comfortable with the whole team's behavior in presenting the place to me, without having solicited what I was looking for to try to maximize the specific action of this place––a testimonial to my adequacy as a consumer smart enough to ask appropriate specific questions. They were honest and forthright, which I find most attractive, as opposed to rank salesmanship. I was refreshed to NOT be harangued with how the place was full, with a long waiting list, to pressure me to sign up immediately. More honesty!

Gina was an excellent introduction to The Village. She answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. She promised to let me know of future events I might be interested in attending. I felt like I had made a new friend that was sincerely interested in getting to know me better.
