There are almost 15 opportunities for health and wellness offered each week at Maravilla. Whether residents are fitness enthusiasts or just beginning an exercise regimen, there’s an activity for everyone. Tai Chi and Aqua Fit offer low-impact exercises while Zumba and Joyous Movement encourage residents to move and groove in a high-paced setting. The active retirement community recently added a new fitness class, encouraging residents to add strength training to their workouts. Under the guidance of instructor Denise Simpson, residents will incorporate resistance bands and weights. Research show strength training can build muscles and improve endurance.
