Senior Living Community in Sacramento, CA

I was given a Tour of Rivers Edge by Michelle, of the Independent Living Facility. There were many amenities such as a gym, game and crafts rooms, TV and Computer Room and a lovely dining room which offers two included meals a day, breakfast and either Lunch or Dinner. The grounds are shaded by trees and there is an orchard with oranges, grapefruits, lemons and cumquats.. there are nice walking paths around a pond with fountain and over to a dog park. Residents appear to be busy chatting with each other, playing table games or watching a sports game on TV. The residents were friendly and greeted me, my son in law and daughter with friendly smiles and hellos. My impression was that it would be a friendly livAble senior environment for both me and my dog

I enjoyed the class and picked up several good ideas to start the downsizing and getting ready to make the big move. She also gave several names of contact people and agencies for various things. Very good class!.

I was a guest of Carla last week at River’s Edge. The entrance and common rooms throughout River’s Edge were well appointed and welcoming with festive holiday decor. My meeting with Carla was very informative and all my questions were answered fully. My tour of a 1bdrm apt was surprisingly bright, clean, and attractive. I was impressed with everything that I experienced and I left with a very complete packet of information about daily living and amenities. Great first experience of exploring relocation to Independent living.

Michelle did a fine job. I wished I was more prepared to ask questions. May I suggest you put together a sample of questions that people should ask. Not a skimpy sample, but a rather comprehensive one that will be of some help.

We had a lovely tour of the apartments with Michelle during a recent open house. The residents were extremely friendly and the facility was spotless. We also appreciated the options for extended care that are available. We will definitely consider Rivers Edge when we are ready for a senior living lifestyle.

My wife and I attended an open house at River’s Edge to get a sense of what an independent living residence would be like. We were very impressed by the facility, the people working there (especially Michelle, the Director of Sales), and all the amenities (free laundry facilities, hair salon, private dining room, workout room). While we didn’t have a meal at River’s Edge, the appetizers that were offered for the open house were very well done. I would consider moving there for the food alone!

Delightful afternon ! The residents are so nice and friendly, we loved the chit chat. Music a bit loud that was somewhat overwhelming for general conversations. Employee service was great. Rivers Edge is very professional. Thank you
