Whether it’s sharing the best advice your mom ever gave you, to your fondest memories as a child, everyone enjoyed the day sharing stories over a specially-prepared brunch. The day was full of smiles, laughter, and of course, not without plenty of decadent desserts.

Our Zest wellness program encourages residents to try new things when it comes to their health and fitness goals, like the Tour de Zest! A spin-off of the “Tour De France,” where residents compete in a community-wide cycling challenge to generate the highest biking mileage totals. Tour de Zest is just one of the countless activities in our Zest Wellness program that can be tailored and modified to fit any age and fitness level.
Holocaust educator Joe Hess (88), was only 6 years old when his parents put him on a train to escape Nazi Germany in a program called “Kindertransport.” Joe mourned the loss of his parents, but then, a miracle!
Celebrating Earth Day and giving back to nature is something our resident’s value. Coming together, with a united sense of purpose, they planted commemorative trees and created hand-painted rock gardens to promote nature, kindness, and positivity.
Feeling strong and vibrant is an important part of resident life, and our Zest Wellness program helps supercharge both fitness and vitality – living better while living longer. We offer traditional fitness courses onsite and recreational outdoor excursions like our hiking clubs.

Like our Tour de Zest cycling event, inspired by Tour de France, residents competed against their fellow SRG communities in a high-energy, spin class setting to see which team could generate the highest biking mileage totals. And with many participants 100+ years old, it just goes to show that age really is just a number!
