As a resident at Amber Lights, you will find all kinds of opportunities for social connections, health and wellness activities, and the comforts and conveniences to help simplify life. Here are the included services for independent living:

  • Full breakfast, plus your choice of lunch or dinner daily
  • Weekly housekeeping and flat linen laundry services
  • Full calendar of social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities and programs
  • Health and fitness classes
  • 24-hour emergency call system and staffing
  • Scheduled transportation services to doctors’ appointments, shopping, events and entertainment
  • Utilities (except phone) including basic cable TV, heating, air conditioning,
  • Interior and exterior care and maintenance of all residences, common areas and grounds

 

Assisted Living at Amber Lights

Amber Light's assisted living services take a “whole-person” approach to wellness, and are tailored to meet your needs, now and in the future. Services can be dialed up, or back, at any time, so you are always getting the help you need. Residents choosing assisted living services enjoy all of the service amenities and common areas as listed above, as well as highly-personalized care services as needed to support independence and wellness. Here are the additional services offered in assisted living:

  • Three meals daily, and snacks
  • Weekly housekeeping, personal and flat linen laundry service
  • Help with daily activities, including bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Assistance with managing medications
  • A holistic personal wellness plan that supports the whole “you”—physical, spiritual, emotional, social and intellectual

 

Rehabilitation Services

Through our partnership with ONR, residents at Amber Lights are fully equipped to start to heal and feel better. Rehabilitative services can be tailored to the unique needs of each person to support them in regaining or retaining health and independence.

  • Physical Therapy to help you bounce back and feel better as soon as possible
  • Occupational Therapy using sensorimotor treatments to increase strength, endurance, range of motion, coordination and balance
  • Speech Pathologists are ready to help with speech therapy or swallowing disorders by including exercises to build up oral muscle strength and function
  • Available Respiratory Therapists offer detailed treatment options designed to return residents to their optimal breathing capacity

Amber Lights provided excellent care for my 95-year-old mother and I recommend them without hesitation. While her stay was short, just two weeks, her care was outstanding. All the staff without exception were caring, personable, and capable. The nursing direction under Sandy was excellent. My mother was a difficult case having come from a rehab nursing facility after a week in the hospital due to a compression fracture in her vertebrae. The rehab facility was terrible (a 0 star review for them) so my mother arrived needing lots of care. The incompetence of the rehab facilities' discharge and transfer process caused several significant problems. Amber Lights staff went above and beyond expectations to solve the problems the rehab facility caused. Amber Lights did not hesitate to take my mother even though she needed a high level of care and they immediately provided the care she needed. Other assisted living facilities we talked with would not provide that level of service. My mother soon had a stroke and we found she likely had advanced breast cancer that had not been diagnosed. Instead of recovery and a long-term stay, we had to switch to end of life care. Amber Lights worked seamlessly with hospice so my mother's last few days were comfortable. Communication from the beginning was excellent. People answer the phone or get back to you quickly. From our first contact with Kelly, the sales director, we had confidence in the organization. All the staff certainly earned that confidence over the next several weeks.

There is no doubt that your associate, Kelly, is an exceptional human being. Very knowledgeable and willing to share his professional and personal knowledge. Kelly took real good care of us. I brought along a friend who has a parent in need of assisted living and Kelly took good care of both our questions. Needless to say, we were very impressed with the facility, staff, and enrichment programs.

I have been here before and the food was delicious and Kelly was great. Seems like your programs for this community are very good. I just think the place is looking a little tired compared to some of the newer places. May need to do some remodeling.

Kelly introduced me to every person that crossed our path and told me their function in the home. He found me 3 lunch companions and a place setting for the outside lunch table. When I am ready I will knock the door down to get in!!!

Over the last few months I have toured and visited several senior communities in Tucson and Oro Valley. I found your residents to be happy,friendly and engaged. Kelly Thrush was the best associate out of the many facilities I visited and interviewed. The many residents I had the pleasure of meeting showed a good deal of love and respect for him I could tell the staff and employees Kelly introduced me to (by their interactions and conversations) had the same opinion as the many residents.

While we are not choosingAmber Lights for our home, we recognize that our needs wound not be fully met there. We MUST have 2 private bedrooms. We came to you not knowing that this was not a part of your layout. Our acquaintances who live here are very happy with their 1 bedroom/den arrangement. However it is not for us.7

Sharon the receptionist, Cesar the restaurant manager, Aaron the chef, even a housekeeper and a maintenance man we met were all exceptionally warm and friendly. The residents we met were all happy and welcoming. Teresa did a fantastic job of orienting us, and Kelly has followed up with possible future visits! Claudia, my friend with whom I went, is the one who is actually looking, but I'm only slightly younger than she, so I am glad to see what's possible. Amber Lights would definitely be a place I'd consider in the future.

The person who gave is the tour is actually for a Corp office. We very much appreciated meeting with chef and head of dining room as meeting dietary needs of parent is prime concern. Need follow up as to whether a pass thru can be done between 2 units as even your largest unit has very small den and bedroom.

Theresa was most accommodating and answered all our questions. My husband and I just started looking at Independent Living to see if it would be an option in the future. Amber Lights is a place we would consider but we don't feel we are ready for it at this time.

We were very impressed with the community. It offers what we feel we may need in the near future. The atmosphere is very homey and comfortable. The lunches were absolutely delicious - cudos to the chef! The extensive menu is also a big draw factor for us. We loved the dining area. The grounds - inside and outside - are well taken care of. The swimming pool is also a drawing factor for us. Most important to us are the different levels of care available as we age. The only negative comment I can add is regarding the sterile-looking apartments. They need wall colors to make the rooms pop and crown molding to make the rooms look finished. Other than that we loved the whole experience.

Leslie, not only showed interest in my parents, but true compassion as well. She followed up with a phone call to inquire how they faired through a recent hurricane in Florida. That level of care is rare. Thank you Leslie for your kindness.

the visit was very thorough and everyone we met was professional and helpful. The visit was for my mother who is very picky and is not in the frame of mind to make a decision nor can she be pushed. We wanted her to see the place so she could consider it for the future. We did not make a follow up plan with Leslie - who was delightful - as that would have been pressure that my mother would not tolerate. This needs to be her decision to make when she wants. So Leslie will be contacted should my mother want more information or to proceed forward. Again your staff was wonderful on both visits first for myself and my sister and the second with my mother
