At The Kensington, residents are encouraged to stay physically active while social distancing. The senior living community’s robust fitness schedule is filled with small group classes to ensure residents’ safety and online classes, which can be done from the comfort and convenience of their residences. A weekly outdoor fitness activity, for example, is held in the courtyard and focuses on improving overall health. Nenita Bermundo-Topf, Director of Rehabilitation with ONR, leads the group through a series of cardio exercises. Plus, being outdoors offers numerous benefits such as boosting one’s mood and immune system.
