The competition is heating up at Villa Hermosa as residents and staff compete in Tour de Zest, a 10-day cycling competition.
The event kicked off on June 26th and runs through July 5th, with residents and team members accumulating miles to compete against 31 sister communities for the coveted “SRG Cycling Trophy.”
Tour de Zest is also the first major in-person community-wide initiative since the beginning of COVID-19 restrictions, and is one of the many events designed to encourage residents to lead a more active and engaged lifestyle.
Television stations KOLD and KVOA were on hand to capture the fun and excitement at Villa Hermosa as residents pedaled to improve their health and attempt to capture first place. Even 102-year old resident Ruth G., joined the challenge and shared her secret for staying physically active.
