Tarrytown Dance Spreads Cheer at Maravilla at The Domain

For many residents at Maravilla at The Domain, traditions are one of the most important parts of the holiday season. Whether its gathering, exchanging gifts, or attending a special event, traditions are a chance to create joyful memories and come together to celebrate.

To spread cheer this holiday season, Maravilla at The Domain partnered with Tarrytown Dance,  Austin’s premier dance studio for children and adults offering everything from creative movement to lyrical, hip hop, drill tech and more. Tarrytown Dance is helping keep the holidays merry and bright this season by providing performances to local senior living communities.

Maravilla residents were invited to experience an exclusive Nutcracker Petite performance put on by Tarrytown Dance in the senior living community’s community room. The dance studio had 40 of their dancers attend the special event. The Nutcracker Petite performers performed six different excerpts from popular numbers of The Nutcracker. All six excerpts consisted of extravagant costume changes and lively performances. Over 45 Maravilla residents, including those from independent and assisted living and memory care, attended the charming and heart-warming performance. Residents faces glistened with delight as they engaged and cheered the dancers on. At the end of the performance, the dancers received a roaring applause and a standing ovation from all attendees. 

Maravilla was thrilled to have had the gift of partnering with Tarrytown Dance this holiday season. A memorable evening that sprinkled joy, Christmas spirit and togetherness throughout the Maravilla community.
