We are living in an unprecedented time. Our country’s response to the novel coronavirus is evolving and we are continuing to adapt and stay nimble. We are actively monitoring the developing guidance of the CDC as well as government and public health departments as we remain vigilant in the preventive actions we have implemented.
From proactive changes in the way we deliver our dining services and life enrichment activities, to enhanced disinfecting protocols and stringent visitor restrictions, we are enacting these measures in an effort to protect our residents and staff. We will continue to work together, support each other and take the necessary actions to help lessen the spread of this disease.
We recognize that these changes may mean you are limited in doing some of your favorite things – or being with loved ones in the same way – in the immediate future. We are working tirelessly to find ways to make this experience the best it can be while maintaining our highest priority – the health and wellness of our residents and staff.
We are continuing to implement the following precautionary measures and ask for your on-going support in these efforts. These include:
- Visits are limited to essential visitors only. (Adults over the age of 18 who are medical providers, hospice care providers, or visitors of residents who are at the end of life.)
- All essential visitors must use the main building entrance and should not use any side or alternative doors.
- All visitors and employees must complete an extensive screening process including travel and health questions as well as have their temperature read.
- Essential visits may only occur in resident rooms between 8am and 8pm.
- Due to the high demand, we are asking all visitors to bring their own disposable masks. If you are unable to obtain, please contact the community in advance of your visit.
- All visitors and employees must wear a mask as well as practice precautionary measures such as use of sanitizers, hand washing and social distancing.
- See something, Say Something. Encouraging all residents and employees to immediately notify the community, if you or a friend are experiencing any symptoms.
- All resident outings, except for essential and or doctor’s appointments are strongly discouraged. If a resident should decide to leave the community for a non-essential reason, we are asking they either remain with a loved one outside the community or self-isolate in their residence for 14 days upon return to the community.
- Our onsite restaurant and communal dining rooms have been closed. Residents are being offered multiple menu choices and snacks delivered with complimentary room service.
- Virtual activities, aimed at engaging our residents physically, intellectually and spiritually are being encouraged throughout the community.
During this time, we want you to know that we will continue to keep you informed, and connected, as we remain vigilant in our efforts to keep our residents and staff healthy both physically and emotionally.
