Rosh Hashanah introduces 10 days of repentance, culminating with a fast on Yom Kippur on September 29th. The Village at NorthRidge in California will join its sister communities in celebrating Rosh Hashanah. The California community kicks off the Jewish New Year with traditional sweet foods and the sound of the shofar (ram’s horn) which represents success and peace. Residents will welcome in the New Year with the popular Jewish folk band, Klezmer Juice, followed by a Rosh Hashanah service with Cantor Ter Lieberstein. Shalom to our residents who will seek fulfillment and solace during these hallowed days.
