October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our communities will “Go Pink” to help bring attention to the disease which affects 1 in 8 women. In addition to wearing their favorite pink outfits, residents at The Park Lane in Monterey, Calif., will participate in a Charity Bingo event, with proceeds being donated to the local chapter of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. “Go Pink Day” is dedicated to getting people involved in learning about breast cancer, honoring loved ones who have lost their battles, and raising up those who are survivors or still fighting breast cancer.
