Residents of Cypress at Golden Gate in San Francisco, for example, will gather today to enjoy a peaceful Shabbat dinner. Shabbat begins every Friday evening at sundown, and continues until Saturday evening at sundown. It commemorates the day that God rested from creating the world; the word Shabbat literally means, “he rested.” Family members are always welcome to participate in our communities’ religious programs as well. Shabbat Shalom!
