America has celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a national holiday since 1986. To mark the occasion, our active retirement communities are offering a variety of educational programs. River’s Edge in California, for example, will host an informative presentation, “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Residents will read and discuss the letter, which was widely published and participate in trivia about its contents.
