Residents Across SRG Communities Become Pen Pals

As part of the Las Palmas ZEST initiative, which addresses mind, body and soul, residents have launched a Pen Pal program. They’ll gather to write postcards and letters to residents at other SRG communities across the country—from Florida to California. Letter-writing may have fallen out of fashion, but to the recipients, handwritten notes of positivity, support, and encouragement can make their day. Lifelong friendships have been formed via pen pal programs and Las Palmas, located in Laguna Woods, is close enough to many of its sister-communities that residents may be able to meet their pen-pal in person.
