The Department of Veterans Affairs says Veterans Day is “a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good”. Senior Resource Group’s communities have a long tradition of recognizing members of our armed forces who bravely fought to defend our nation’s freedoms. At SpringRidge at Charbonneau in Wilsonville, Ore., for example, residents and guests have been invited to hear retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel David Quesnel as well as enjoy a patriotic concert by the Andrew Sisters-inspired “Two Sisters and a Mister”. A color guard presentation by the Canby American Legion has also been scheduled.
