Narrows Glen Plans Intergeneratonal Earth Day Project
04-16-2019

Earth Day is observed annually on April 22nd and is designed to draw attention to conservation efforts and Earth-friendly activities. Senior Resource Group communities are marking the occasion with several activities sure to give residents a deeper appreciation for Mother Nature. At Narrows Glen, for example, residents at the senior living community in Tacoma, Washington, will team up with students from the Geiger Elementary School for an Easter/Earth Day project. Students will visit Narrows Glen and join residents to create eco-friendly Easter baskets using wheatgrass. Later this month, residents will return the visit, spending the afternoon at the school to watch the students’ Earth Day Assembly. They’ll have the opportunity to participate in a ritual of offering the wheatgrass baskets to Mother Earth.
