Maravilla Resident Inducted into Automotive Hall of Fame
07-22-2016

SRG senior living communities are home to a diverse group of residents with fascinating former careers. Roy Lunn, a resident at Maravilla in Santa Barbara, Calif., was recently inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame. The honor is reserved for individuals who have significantly influenced the worldwide automotive industry. His granddaughter represented him at the ceremony that was held in Detroit. Born in England, Mr. Lunn has worked at Aston Martin, and Jowett. Additionally, he helped run Ford’s racing program which resulted in the GT-40 and the Mustang. At American Motors, he developed what would become the lighter and stronger Jeep XJ (Cherokee and Wagoneer), which remained in production for 18 years. He continues to work on designs for cars of the future from his Maravilla home.
