La Vida Real Receives 5th Consecutive Three-Year Accreditation

The Commission of Accreditation on Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has awarded La Vida Real retirement community in Rancho San Diego its fifth three-year accreditation.

Similar to a five-star rating in the hospitality industry, this certification is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a retirement community. To receive the three-year accreditation outcome, La Vida Real completed a rigorous peer review process in which they effectively demonstrated the mastery of more than 1,000 CARF standards.

CARF surveyors commended La Vida Real’s strong commitment to CARF International standards and its emphasis on person-centered care. They also commented on the many opportunities for residents to develop their talents, stay connected to the outside community, and enjoy activities such as a resident art show that included a community partnership for Art in Bloom. In fact, the residents noted with so many activities life at La Vida Real is endlessly engaging and fun-filled.

Surveyors recognized the SynRGy™ program, which highlights the good, quality interactions of staff and residents, thus creating an environment that focuses on the positive attributes everyone brings to La Vida Real. The staff mentioned SynRGy has helped develop team morale and offers motivation for potential growth.
