Hawthorn Court Holiday Song Fest in December | SRG

Family Members, Caregivers & Loved Ones Invited to Hawthorn Court Holiday Song Fest on December 17
12-10-2015

Hawthorn Court, an award-winning memory care community in Phoenix, is inviting caregivers and their loved one with dementia or other memory-related disorder to attend a Holiday Song Fest on Thursday, December 17th at 5:30 p.m.

The event is specially designed for individuals with memory impairments.

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic have found that listening to or singing music can provide emotional and behavioral benefits for people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The team also noted that musical memories are often preserved in Alzheimer's disease because key brain areas linked to musical memory are relatively undamaged by the disease.

Caregivers will benefit from the Holiday Song Fest as well. In addition to reducing stress and anxiety, music can help connect them with loved ones.

Please call 632-239-0829 to make reservations to attend the complimentary event.

Located at 13822 South 46th Place, Hawthorn Court specializes in assisted living care for the cognitively impaired. To learn more, please click here.
