The Carlisle Naples’ Executive Chef Marlon Perez was the recipient of the prestigious 2021 Culinary Creation Award, presented by the Florida Assisted Living Association (FALA).
The award was presented during the advocacy association’s annual conference and trade show. It recognizes culinary leaders who display passionate and dynamic leadership, exceptional management proficiency and successful planning and execution within their dining program.
He was nominated for the Culinary Creation Award by The Carlisle Naples’ Executive Director Bill Diamond for his commitment to going above and beyond to exceed residents’ expectations.
“Chef Perez is known for his outstanding personal attention and ensuring special events are memorable culinary experiences for our residents,” said Diamond. “He also works tirelessly to cater to residents’ unique preferences such as soliciting their feedback on upcoming menu items and incorporating their family recipes on the nightly menu.”
Chef Perez has been part of the active retirement community’s culinary team for almost 15 years. His impressive resume includes serving as Banquet Chef at the prestigious Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.
He oversees a team of 21 employees and prepares 800-900 dishes per day at the community. The onsite restaurant, The Carlisle Room, incorporates a full range of selections—from gourmet international and ethnic cuisine to comfort foods and heart-healthy options—and a FreshZest menu, offering delicious plant-based and whole-food options.
“I’m honored to be acknowledged by FALA,” said Chef Perez. “It truly is a team effort. I’m so appreciative of my entire staff for helping raise the bar on five-star dining at The Carlisle each and every day.”
The Carlisle offers both Independent and Assisted Living lifestyles. Available on a monthly fee basis, the ECC-licensed and CARF-accredited community boasts a full range of services and amenities including 12-hour restaurant dining, housekeeping, transportation and activities.
