The Carlisle Naples Celebrates 19th Anniversary

The Carlisle Naples, a luxury active retirement community, celebrated its 19^th anniversary this month. Residents and families joined in the festivities which featured an elegant dinner and musical entertainment by the “Jordan Ross Band”. 

“Many residents have lived at The Carlisle for many years and these longtime residents really echo what The Carlisle is all about,” said Bill Diamond, executive director and the official ceremonial anniversary cake cutter. “We may say it’s a maintenance-free lifestyle but when they say it’s a place where you don’t feel alone and there’s a feeling of community, these are testaments to our commitment.”

Resident Jo Spiess has lived at The Carlisle 12 years and is especially fond of the opportunities to socialize with neighbors. The community’s onsite restaurant, The Carlisle Room, offers a complimentary full breakfast with a variety of choices that has become the perfect place for residents to begin their day and catch up with friends.

“It’s just evolved into the social thing to do—have breakfast and see neighbors,” said Spiess, whose daily routine is to work out in The Carlisle’s fitness center when she’s on her way back to her residence following breakfast.  

Thanks to The Carlisle’s maintenance-free lifestyle, residents find they have more time to pursue their interests and passions and for many, that means volunteering.  Spiess and her neighbor, Marge Kelly who has also lived at The Carlisle for 12 years, have often raised their hands to chair committees and get involved in the residents’ council and the bridge group. They find these activities keep them active and are even good for brain health.
