Maravilla at The Domain Will Offer Seniors A Daily Five-Star Dining Experience

AUSTIN, TEXAS—November 27, 2018. Senior Resource Group (SRG), an innovator in the retirement industry and developer of the upscale Maravilla at The Domain in Austin, today said its residents will enjoy a five-star dining experience every day, with a focus on local fresh, seasonal ingredients and a wide variety of menu options.

“Imagine crisp linen tablecloths, fine china and servers who know you so well, they often anticipate your preferences the moment you come through the door,” said Senior Resource Group President and CEO Michael Grust. ”We intend to offer residents a full menu of fresh, cooked-to-order dining options from signature entrees and daily specials to a continuously changing selection of gastronomic delights.”

Maravilla’s culinary team will focus on using top-quality, local fresh ingredients in seasonal and regional dishes. The ever-evolving menu will offer signature entrees and daily chef-inspired specials that ensure the taste buds will never be bored. Specials may include such tantalizing choices as Fresh Salmon Filet, lightly seasoned, grilled to order and finished with a drizzle of pesto glaze, or Herb-Crusted Spring Lamb Chops, roasted to perfection and served with onion-mint marmalade. In addition to five nightly chef specials, Maravilla at the Domain will offer selections ranging from comfort foods, like beef bourguignon and gourmet macaroni and cheese, to heart-healthy options, such as organic spinach salad and a cornucopia salad made with mixed greens, avocado and grilled chicken.

There will even be a plant-based menu, Fresh Zest™ -- an entirely new addition to SRG communities’ dining selections that is geared toward specialty diets with a twist. Taste will never be compromised with the Fresh Zest™ menu, which will feature meatless dishes such as Crispy Bean Chimichangas with Tomatillo Sauce and Cremini Mushrooms, Eggplant Lasagna and meatless burgers – bold, palate-pleasing flavors.  A plant-based diet can be nutritious and appetizing, and it can also play a significant role in slowing cognitive decline, reducing the risk of heart disease and cancer, and helping manage diabetes and other chronic ailments older adults often experience.

Maravilla’s culinary team will work closely with vendors to purchase produce, seafood and meats directly from local farms, as much as possible. Virtually all items will be prepared from scratch. Meats will be chilled, never frozen, and soups will be made on-site. There will be an emphasis not just on flavor, but also on texture, aroma, and color, using fresh herbs and salt-free herb seasonings to intensify flavors.

“Sometimes our best inspiration comes from our residents,” said Grust. “Our monthly Let’s Dish™ sessions will give residents an opportunity to speak directly to the chef and sample new menu delights. They may find their own signature dish, complete with attribution, on the next menu!”

Flexibility will be a key to the Maravilla dining experience. Residents and their guests will savor fresh and seasonal ingredients every day and choose from an extensive variety of Dine Your Way™ menu options. From favorite comfort foods to nightly chef specials, there will always be something delicious in store. Residents will be able to grab a travel-sized lunch from the bistro and enjoy it while strolling through the community’s lush open spaces. With so many dining options – all open and ready to serve 12 hours a day – residents will choose when, where, what, and how they want to dine. They will be able to dine solo, with residents, or with guests. It will always be their choice.

Families will also be encouraged to dine at Maravilla. Themed community dinner parties and socials held throughout the month for residents – and included in the monthly fee – will provide a great opportunity for residents to invite family and socialize with friends.  In addition, the community’s Private Dining Room allows for intimate family celebrations in a private, carefree setting.

Located at 11001 Austin Lane in the heart of The Domain’s residential area, Maravilla at The Domain will be an elegant, state-of-the-art, continuum-of-care senior living campus for residents age 62 and older. Capitalizing on The Domain’s live-work-play environment, the 370,000 square-foot development will offer 230 residences – a mix of 142 independent living, 54 assisted living and 34 memory care residences, and associated services and amenities, including access to an on-site rehabilitation center. The multi-level community will be comprised of an 11-story South Tower, six- and seven-story Central and North Towers, subterranean parking, courtyards and a swimming pool – all just steps away from public transportation options and the upscale shopping and dining of Austin’s most exclusive entertainment district.

Focusing on residents’ health and well-being today and tomorrow—Maravilla’s continuum-of-care campus will feature a range of residential lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, and memory care, as well as on-site access to rehabilitation/post-acute care services. Continuum-of-care communities offer residents a variety of lifestyle and supportive care options allowing them to age in place, comfortably and conveniently.

The grand opening of Maravilla at The Domain is anticipated in mid-2019. For more information, visit https://www.srgseniorliving.com/communities/austin-tx-maravilla/coming-s...
