Bake up a Treat

The Foothills at Simi Valley hosts an interactive monthly baking class. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, residents are invited to don their aprons and bake Irish soda bread. This treat is one of the easiest – and tastiest – types of breads to make as it requires no rising and uses baking soda instead of yeast. For residents who prefer to watch their neighbors bake, there will be plenty of samples available! Out of an abundance of caution and implementing social distance guidelines recommended by the CDC, the active retirement community's Zest team will lead this small group of residents as they bake up a treat.
