Learn Yiddish

February 26 11:00am

Sherline Miller’s Yiddish language classes continue to be popular with residents of The Village at Sherman Oaks. Yiddish was the everyday language of the Ashkenazi (Northern European) Jewish communities into the 20th century and is still spoken in some communities today. It includes elements of Hebrew, German, Polish and Russian, and is written with Hebrew characters. Colorful Yiddish expressions may be included.
