Residents Enjoy Fresh Flavors During Virtual Cooking Class

June 5 4:30pm

There are plenty of opportunities to learn something new - and have fun - all while observing social distancing. Maravilla Scottsdale residents have found a way to connect over the community's virtual culinary workshops.

Dining room manager Michael I. leads the interactive series over Zoom video conferencing, with fresh ingredients packaged and delivered directly to residents' doors before the workshop begins.

With computers out and skillets ready, the group followed step-by-step live instruction and created pan-seared polenta with baby cremini mushrooms, drizzled with pesto and dried tomato chutney.

The guided class is just one in a series of workshops taught bi-weekly on Zoom, with the group previously dabbling in mixology where they created Kiwi Crush cocktails.
