I suffered major health issues in 2020 which resulted in me selling my home and moving into River's Edge Independent Living Community, October 2021. The decision to make this move wasn't easy for a person like me who is independent, almost to a fault. My daughter and son-in-law convinced me that it would be in my best interest to move out of the home (where I lived alone) into a community with supportive services and other independent residents like me. I wasn't disappointed! I found that I didn't have to sacrifice my independence at all. I could engage socially as I chose and participate in the community on my own terms, knowing that my health and safety were a priority for River's Edge staff. This flexibility enabled me to participate in activities where I learned from others, while sharing my gifts and talent. I am service oriented, and River's Edge enabled me to help in ways to make a difference in the community. I recently relocated from River's Edge to another independent living community in Pasadena, California to be closer to my daughter. I am grateful for my experience at River's Edge which made the transition to my new community easy. I will not forget the quality service I received from staff and management the year I lived at River's Edge.

My mother-in-law has resided at River's Edge Chateau for over four years and has received excellent care. The management and staff provide a loving and safe environment and treat Mom with respect. The activities including games and music keep her involved and occupied. The private grounds include a lake, walking paths, and comfortable outdoor seating. Mom loves to take walks around the lake.

One thing that I can share about this community is that it is ran by an Executive Director that actually cares about the people that work there and more importantly the ones that live there. I will be honest he is the only ED that I have worked with in this industry that has a heart.

The facility is well-kept and in an advantageous location. The small unit we saw was nice and we appreciated the outdoor space (patio or balcony) The menu was somewhat limited (only 2 entrees offered) but looked like good choices. I liked the little library and the dog park
