Observe Memorial Day

In honor of Memorial Day, The Chateau on Capitol Avenue will pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend America’s freedoms. The Zest Department will deliver hand-held flags to each residence and, while practicing social distancing, pledge allegiance to our nation’s flag. As part of the observance, residents will learn the history of the federal holiday and how poppies became synonymous with Memorial Day. They’ll also enjoy themed cookies and a craft project from the comfort of their residences.
