I am assisting a client of mine through an outside agency at The Chateau on Capitol Avenue in Sacramento California. Upon my arrival I was kindly greeted by Valerie the front desk attendant , a very sweet , hardworking and organized lady who was extremely helpful when locating the unit my client was assigned. I was amazed how clean and beautifully decorated it was and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing verses many of the assistant living apartments I have visited as a Medical Home Health Aid throughout the Sacramento region.I was pleased how the staff seem to know all the residents by their names , bonded with their personalitys and took time to interact with them while addressing their needs. Staff were doing routine checks on my client and encouraging her self independence on a regular basis. Housekeeping was amazing ..most Assisting Living facilities reek with urine and dirty adult diapers due to poor housekeeping..but NOT The Chateau. Housekeeping made frequent trips to my clients room removing trash(soiled adult diapers) throughout the day and cleaned the bathroom. The floors were vacummed and laundry done and my clients room was spotless during and throughout every visit to my clients unit. Jill, the director of Assisting Living at The Chateau ,is very supportive to meeting the needs of the residents and supportive to outside agency staff to ensure each resident's experience is pleasant, healthy, safe and comfortable. My client was delighted with the food they served and by the looks of it I would of thought I was at IHOP . My client ordered an omelette that looked and smelled extremely delicious.No hospital looking food served here! I was lucky to meet some of the other residents while assisting my client here at The Chateau, and their personalities were warm and joyous. I had the pleasure of meeting a resident nearly 100 years old and he was happy , well taken care of and still carrying his independance. I would highly recommended The Chateau for Assisted Living , my 8 years experience in Geriatrics and visiting tons of Assisted Living places give me the inside look of Assisted living and I was well pleased with the daily operations of The Chateau on Capital I encountered during my 12 hour shifts these past couple weeks. Working with my client here has been a pleasure.

I was impressed with the community. The only reason it won't work for my mother is that she's not interested in being midtown and in a mid-century building. Just not her style.

We enjoyed our visit! and found that it is too early for us to consider this level of living. HOWEVER, certainly this facility would be highest on our list if/when we do decide to live this way.

I just had my mom's 95th birthday celebration for 50 people in the living room of The Chateau. What a delightful day. The staff was so helpful and friendly to all the guests and the atmosphere was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better day!!

Appreciated the time and energy the staff dedicated to myself, my family, and my 101 year old grandfather on our visit. I appreciated that over the weekend, we received an invitation to join the community at an event, that helped us feel part of the community whether or not we chose the community as our home.

I was very impressed with your staff and residents - how nice and friendly everyone was. While Angelina didn't direct the conversation in the exact manner your survey indicates (checking in first about needs, offering to follow up), I thought she did a wonderful job of making me feel welcome, included, and taken care of. She's great at her job and I really enjoyed my time with her.

The visit also offered experience to meet some community members ~ very positive atmosphere from both community and staff ~ I will be submitting soon ~ I understand the wait lists and thats OK ~ I will be at the downsizing seminar on 6-27 ~~~

Angelina did a fantastic job answering my questions without trying to hard sell me. I dislike pressured sales. I was comfortable in discussing all the important matters with her warm personality. Keep her around!

Everyone was pleasant and friendly. The apartments seemed somewhat dark upon entering, which I think was due to the entry hallways. Consider opening up more.
