La Vida Real offers a Community Swim several times a week. The fun workout offers low-impact, guided movements to strengthen residents’ core. According to the American Council on Exercise, exercising in water makes you feel about 90% lighter, making it an excellent exercise that can be beneficial for anyone with arthritis, back pain, or limited mobility. Research has also shown that it can help maintain strength and muscle tone, improve heart and lung function and improve blood flow.
