Get Physically & Mentally Healthy

July 20 9:30am

A new report, presented at the American College of Sports Medicine’s annual meeting, found that aerobic exercise can reverse the cognitive decline in people with Alzheimer’s disease for the short term. Of the over 1,000 study participants, those who exercised 140 minutes weekly on average experienced more improvement in cognitive function. At Hawthorn Court, exercise is just one of the many ways we work to improve residents’ cognitive function. Each week, there are more than six opportunities for fitness and aerobic exercise. From Cardio Endurance to Exercise Exhileration to Move n’ Groove, our Program Director ensures there are classes to motivate and engage all fitness levels.
