Justine Ortiz, Executive Director at La Vida at Mission Viejo, has been named “Advocate of the Year” for 2021 by the California Assisted Living Association (CALA).

The distinguished award honors CALA members who actively build relationships with legislators, support CALA’s policy priorities and demonstrate a commitment to grassroots action. In recognizing Justine, the advocacy group’s President & CEO, Sally Michael, praised her for “demonstrating a strong commitment to building lasting and meaningful relationships with state legislators and their staff."

Justine will be honored during a virtual awards ceremony on Advocacy Day (April 5th).
