Our signature wellness program, Fitness Matters, embraces all six areas of wellness to promote healthy aging and encourage residents and staff alike to lead balanced, productive lives. We’ve set the bar high to make the widest variety of senior wellness programs accessible, fun and supportive.
At SRG fitness centers, you have tremendous choices not only in equipment but exercise programs and classes. Choose from yoga, tai chi, daily stretch/low impact, and even dance. In the pool, you can participate in gentle water work-outs or aquacizing. You can even team up with an instructor to create your own individual training regimen, utilizing any of the senior wellness programs, activities and equipment SRG has to offer.
In addition to physical fitness, Fitness Matters focuses on your intellectual wellness and social and emotional well-being. Attend a “brain fitness” seminar or learn a new language. Join a book club, current events class or become a member of the resident council. Or, give back by taking part in one of several volunteer and mentoring opportunities.
By taking an integrated approach, we aim to provide a customized program for each person that includes nutrition and fitness counseling, diversified exercise classes, preventative health workshops, wholesome dining options and the knowledge, resources and motivation to create a personalized blueprint for wellness. With Fitness Matters’ comprehensive senior wellness programs, assisted living community members work together to set goals, support progress, and celebrate and reward achievement.
