The Village at Sherman Oaks Adds Belly Dancing Class

At SRG, fitness matters! Our Program Directors and fitness instructors are always finding ways to encourage and motivate residents—from beginners to lifelong fitness enthusiasts. At The Village at Sherman Oaks in Calif., for example, the active retirement community has added yet another fun, new class to its already robust health and wellness calendar of events: Belly Dancing! It’s perfect for residents looking for a high-intensity workout that targets the entire body. Belly dancing, also known as Middle Eastern dance, works just about every muscle group including hips, stomach, thighs, and arms. Participants are having a great time dancing their way to better health.
