Join in a Tai Chi Class

January 21 2:00pm

According to research, Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, has been shown to delay the advancement of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. In fact, a Harvard health publication found that after one year, participants in a Tai Chi trial group showed greater improvements in cognitive performance than a group assigned to a stretching and toning program. Residents at Hawthorn Court participate in a variety of fitness programs including Tai Chi. The community is dedicated to providing activities which promote residents’ independence while offering the support needed for daily successes.
