Go Wild

March 30 10:30am

Peninsula Del Rey residents will take a short trip to the Oakland Zoo, formerly known as the “Knowland Zoo”. It was founded in 1922 by naturalist Henry A. Snow.  The zoo area comprises 100 acres and most of the animals are kept in relatively natural habitats. The main mission of the zoo is education and conservation, and it has taken in several animals (including three black bears) rescued from the recent fires.
