Food Servers (Full-Time / Part-Time)
SpringRidge at Charbonneau, Wilsonville
JOB OBJECTIVE:
You will report to the Dining Room Manager and be responsible for extending exceptional customer service and serving meals to residents and guests in the dining room. Servers are required to comply with applicable food and sanitation regulations and standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service. Remains knowledgeable about posted daily specials and is prepared to inform diners of such specials and is able to answer questions concerning specials.
- Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars. Paces course delivery and sequence according to established procedures so that residents receive food at the proper temperature and are able to enjoy each course in a relaxed manner.
- Provides food services for special events as directed by supervisor.
- Maintains required food handlers’ certifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food service experience in hospitality, country club, or senior living
industry preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to write orders so that the orders can be read by kitchen staff.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- As required by local or state regulating bodies.
